FSU football: Ranking all top coaches in the ACC (2024)

Pat Narduzzi (Pittsburgh) 65-50 overall, 43-31 ACC
Pat Narduzzi checks in at No. 10 after going into the 2023 season in the No. 2 spot. The Pittsburgh Panthers saw a severe drop-off from the normal consistency one would expect from a Pat Narduzzi team. The Panthers finished the 2023 season with a 3-9 overall, 2-6 ACC record. It was the worst season in Narduzzi's coaching career. Was it an outlier or a sign of a downward trend?
My guess is it's a downward trend with some of the things we heard from the Narduzzi and the player reactions. Pittsburgh isn't a place that recruits anywhere near an elite level, and they don't make much noise in the transfer portal. Narduzzi is nearing 60 years of age, and the game might be passing him by. The upcoming 2024 season will tell us a lot about the trajectory of the Panthers and Narduzzi. His record historically merits keeping him in the top 10.
