FSU football: Positional transfer needs this offseason for the Noles
DEFENSIVE LINE
Florida State was able to bring an abundance of pressure from their defensive unit in generating sacks. They had 45 sacks in 13 games (I bet Louisville's Jack Plummer is still having nightmares about that defensive line's performance).
However, the Seminoles will have to replace the likes of former Albany defensive end transfer Jared Verse, who has combined for 18 sacks in his two years playing for Florida State. It also goes without having defensive tackles Fabien Lovett Sr., Braden Fiske, and Dennis Briggs Jr.
While the Seminoles have talented pieces returning such as Patrick Payton, Byron Turner Jr., Gilber Edmond, Joshua Farmer (hopefully), and Darrell Jackson Jr. in 2024, the defensive line should still be a formidable unit.
Florida State did pick up a talented Georgia sophomore defensive end transfer Marvin Jones Jr., who the Seminole fans were clamoring for. However, I expect the Seminoles to have at least acquire two more on the defensive line.
