Pro-Boon to Local Businesses

This type of thing likely doesn't mean much to the casual fan, but many businesses in the area depend heavily on the football team. However, it's more than that because they rely on the football team to play at a high level because that attracts more fan interest. Do you know what else attracts more fan interest? Big games. FSU playing against teams with huge fan bases that will travel to the area and spend money on hotels, food, gas, and other things.

That would happen with most SEC teams on the schedule because they are logistically closer than schools like Wake Forest, Boston College, and Syracuse, who FSU played every year when they had divisions in the ACC. Those teams have very small fanbases who don't travel well. Think about Alabama, LSU, Auburn, Texas, Tennessee, Texas A&M, Ole Miss, and Oklahoma. The latter might be responsible for one of the loudest moments in Doak Campbell Stadium history 2011. FSU has recent history with some of these teams already or storylines that would be easy to tap into.
