The College Football Playoff Committee snubbing the 2023 FSU football team continues to reverberate through the FSU fanbase three months later. It's likely something FSU fans will never forget and will always find ways to remind others that the 2023 team deserved a shot to compete for a National Title. Also, the Orange Bowl game against Georgia would have been much more competitive had all of the players who opted out, played in that game. Their reasoning for opting out was justified because they had done everything required to make the College Football Playoff. If you're a non-FSU fan reading this, all you have to do is tune into the 2024 NFL Combine. FSU players are lighting it up on the first day and have several players remaining throughout the weekend who'll likely put up crazy numbers to boost their draft stock aside from the tape and production featured at FSU over the past couple of years. Check out the fan responses to FSU performances on day one of the Combine:
Looking at how good our guys are doing at the combine makes it hurt that much more knowing we would’ve won it all with Jordan Travis

But I thought he couldn’t perform without Jordan Travis @CFBPlayoff https://t.co/74ZtA8ohL3

The combine is just going to make me angry because everyone will learn how talented this FSU team was, which makes whole “Jordan Travis injury was the reason for FSU not making the playoff” excuse even dumber

There were other players on the team than Jordan Travis… 😱😱 FSU was screwed

Never forget Braden Fiske, a lifetime Midwesterner that grew up 45 minutes from South Bend, chose FSU over Notre Dame when he had one opportunity to make the most of his final year of college football.

That FSU defense last year was more talented than I realized in real time

FSU has 12 guys at the NFL Combine, and I believe at least 9-10 will get drafted, with at least one first-rounder and 3-5 more in the first three rounds. Those players not selected will sign as UDFA, which is better than getting drafted in the last round or two because they can negotiate and choose which team/option works best for their situation. That's an incredible amount of talent, and we saw how much defense mattered in the College Football Playoff. There's no question that FSU had arguably the best defense among the top teams, and many of those guys would have gotten healthier with the extended break after the ACC Championship game. The snub continues to hurt, but seeing these guys show their talent helps support that FSU would have had a shot if they hadn't gotten snubbed.
