FSU had one of the top transfer portal recruiting classes from the winter period. They took multiple veterans at key positions, former top 100 recruits, guys who can play right away, and some with multiple years of eligibility remaining. Here's a breakdown of the class:

• 6-7 guys that will be in the rotation
• 1-2 guys with great potential and multiple years of eligibility remaining

FSU coaches already know what these guys can do and know they have hit on them, which is why they don't have to try and attract every guy who enters the portal in the spring window. It's more a luxury than a need, and there were a couple of guys they contacted to gauge interest. However, it was more about seeing if they could get a guy at a discount to fit in at a position. If the player wasn't interested, no harm or foul.
