Final Thoughts

I think the positives outweigh the negatives with Cam Ward. However, the offense is probably more boom or bust than with Uiagalelei. But, he would likely attract better talent from the portal, and FSU needs offensive linemen and at least one experienced wide receiver. Can the coaching staff put him in better situations to reduce the amount of negative plays? Can he improve his ball security? I think those are the two largest negatives you'll have to deal with in a Cam Ward led offense. Does that fit with what FSU has on its roster? There's a lot of young talent at wide receiver and some pieces on the offensive returning (as long as noone else enters the transfer portal). FSU will be young at running back with Trey Benson likely departing and Rodney Hill indicating he'll enter the transfer portal.

The coaching staff wouldn't have him officially visit if they didn't think he'd be a fit for the offense. Cam Ward is an excellent piece of clay to mold, and Mike Norvell has produced some excellent offenses with lesser talented quarterbacks. If Ward is the guy, trust the coaching staff to try to hide those negatives as much as possible.
