RB KAMERON DAVIS

I recently wrote about the rushing attack's struggles this season in an article. It has been well-documented throughout the offseason that Florida State's main strength was going to be running the football to hopefully set up easier passing opportunities for quarterback DJ Uiagalelei.

However, that has been far from what has happened where opposing defenses have been stacking the box and do not respect what the Seminoles have to offer in terms of throwing the football downfield.

Head football coach Mike Norvell has always been able to establish the running game early and often with his offenses during his time with Memphis and now Florida State. However, the offense is having to replace their home-run hitter in Trey Benson, who had 1,800+ rushing yards and 23 touchdowns in his two seasons in Tallahassee.

The Seminoles added Alabama's Roydell Williams and Indiana's Jaylin Lucas via the transfer portal. However, the most significant piece that they seem to have confidence in is true freshman Kameron Davis. I know that everyone wants to criticize Davis for the dropped pass versus Georgia Tech, but he has showcased the ability to be a good blocker and run hard through tacklers.
