FSU football: 6 reasons DJ Uiagalelei could silence critics in 2024

DJU Willing To Put The Work In
I know this sounds cliche, but this is a young man who sought to come to FSU to get developed by one of the best offensive minds in college football. Mike Norvell and the coaching staff don't sugarcoat things, and he knew he would get coached hard. He sat through three of his college games from last year, the good and the bad, and took the criticism and praise and chose to come to FSU when given the opportunity. He's in a situation where he has one year to maximize everything in front of him, which tells me he'll do everything possible to reach his potential. The fact he went to Oregon State to learn a new offense rather quickly and turned in a good 2023 season tells me his time at FSU should be similar. I trust this FSU coaching staff implicitly because of what I saw them do with Jordan Travis.
We saw Jordan Travis take a monumental leap from the last three games in 2021 to the 2022 season. However, this 2024 FSU offensive line should be better than those. The running game should be better, and DJU will have multiple years of experience to draw from to maximize the facets of the offense that suit him best. I trust the coaching staff to maximize his strengths and limit his weaknesses because that's what they do. Mike Norvell has had prolific offenses with lesser-talented quarterbacks and teams. I'll save my projections for DJU until my big predictions post before the season. However, I believe he'll silence a lot of critics in 2024. Even if he doesn't, he doesn't have to be a Heisman contender to win 10+ games because this FSU defense will be nasty once again.
