Better Offensive Line

The FSU offense line was supposed to be better in 2023. FSU had some continuity returning with Maurice Smith, Darius Washington, Robert Scott, and D'Mitri Emannuel returning. The additions of Jeremiah Byers, Keiondre Jones, and Casey Roddick from the transfer portal were thought to add potential starters or at least depth. FSU had young players like Bryson Estes, Jaylen Early, and Julian Armella with at least a year under their belt. However, Robert Scott missed most of the offseason and most of the season with injuries.

Byers and Roddick didn't become the contributors everyone thought they'd be, and the young guys were not ready to contribute. Keiondre Jones showed promise in the run game, and the running backs didn't always hit the holes the offensive line created when available. Smith, Washington, Scott(although still injured), Byers, and Estes return in 2024. FSU brought in portal additions Richie Leonard and Terrance Ferguson, and Early and Armella have another year under their belt. This offense line is big and strong, with experience, and should be better than average in pass pro and the run game.
