DJU Led Offenses Don't Turn It Over Much

One of the biggest factors in FSU's success overall and on offense over the past two seasons was their ability to protect the ball. Jordan Travis rarely threw interceptions or fumbled the ball. FSU had 14 turnovers in 2022 and only five(not counting the Orange Bowl) in 2023. That's insane turnover luck, but protecting the football is a facet Mike Norvell preaches in his offense. However, it's an area that's a strong suit for DJ Uiagalelei. DJU has only thrown 14 interceptions and lost four fumbles over the past two seasons.

Those four fumbles lost all came in the 2022 season. It's an area where his inaccuracy as a passer can be a strength because the pass isn't interceptable by defenders, it seems. We'll get into things more in-depth and tie it all together, but an offense that doesn't turn the ball over and is efficient in key areas will put up a lot of points. It's not like FSU doesn't have talented players on offense. In hindsight, FSU likely has more proven talent on its roster currently than what it had going into the 2022 season. It was a season where FSU finished No. 7 nationally on offense.
