Darius Washington-OL

Redshirt Senior Darius Washington has seen it all during his time at FSU, starting three games at left tackle as a true freshman. He signed while Willie Taggart was head coach and has come through the fire of the transition to Mike Norvell. He's a guy who played way too early but has always shown the ability to play multiple positions on the offensive line. He has played left tackle, right tackle, and center, and can play guard. He was an All-ACC First Team selection in 2023.

Players have to have the respect of teammates before they can lead, and I can't think of anyone who wouldn't respect what Washington brings to the team. I'm not sure how vocal he is in the locker room, but I'm sure he leads by example, which can be even better. All these new faces will look to a proven guy who's gone through it all, and Washington covers that in spades.
