Cam Riley-LB

I think it's clear DJ Lundy will be one of the starting linebackers going into the season. He has improved year-over-year and has the most experience in Adam Fuller's defensive scheme. I know folks want Blake Nichelson to be the guy because he's the highest-rated linebacker FSU has signed in a long time. Some folks thought he'd start last year as a freshman and I said that was nonsense because he wasn't an early enrollee and it's a difficult transition. Most folks don't realize Nichelson didn't play linebacker in high school, so it's been a huge adjustment.

He got some experience last year, but I think FSU needs someone with more experience, and physically ready to play. That's Auburn transfer Cam Riley. Riley could be a difference-maker if he learns the defense well enough to get on the field. He has a lot of tools. He's huge but can cover in space, and I could see him coming off the edge some like Harold Perkins from LSU. I like other guys like Justin Cryer and Shawn Murphy too, but Riley is a name Mike Norvell has brought up on his own a few times lately.
