Resources Availabe

The resources Mike Norvell has at his disposal dwarf what he had at his disposal when he took the job in December 2019. Those resources in the form of the Battles End Collective didn't become available until less than two years ago. Norvell assembled the talent on the 2022 team without that resource, but it was that resource that helped build the 2023 team and acquire its best high school recruiting classes in 2023 and 2024 under Mike Norvell.

Does Mike Norvell need to assess how they have spent these resources and potentially make changes? Absolutely. In fact, I think they had done so with the 2025 high school recruiting class, and why they had several top 100 players committed for the first time in his tenure before losing the first two games. Does Mike Norvell need to think about recruiting philosophies when making new staff hires? Absolutely. He's shown he can identify great recruiters who have no track record to speak of. Alex Atkins, Tony Tokarz, and Patrick Surtain were hires he made who have turned out to be good recruiters. With better recruiters and resources allocated to appropriate positions, FSU should be able to compete with elite teams on and off the field.
