FSU football: 5 MAJOR keys to defeating Boston College Eagles

Hit Explosive Plays On Offense
FSU's longest play from scrimmage against Georgia Tech came on its first possession, a 28-yard touchdown run by Lawrance Toafili. The Noles were severely limited after that, and Mike Norvell did a poor job getting the ball to his playmakers. Jaylin Lucas didn't touch the ball after the first couple of drives after a couple of explosive plays. Malik Benson and Kyle Morlock rarely got targets, and Ja'Khi Douglas didn't come alive until FSU's final drive.
FSU's offense is built for playmakers and isn't designed to go on 15-play 80-yard touchdown drives. Those are great because they result in touchdowns and can wear a team down, but they chew a lot of time. FSU is much better when they score touchdowns on 6-7 play drives in fewer than five minutes or less. Here's to hoping Mike Norvell gets his playmakers in space and puts the elite speed they have at the wide receiver position to use.
