Parting Thoughts

Mike Norvell typically wants to establish a running game, but I think it's time to abandon ship on that train of thought. I'm not saying throw it 60 times a game, but I think Brock Glenn looking to do damage through the air is the best way to maximize the strength of this offense. The offensive line can't run block for anything, but they are serviceable in pass protection, especially since Glenn doesn't take forever to get rid of the ball.

It feels like running the ball is a waste of a down with little to no ROI. Glenn putting the ball in the air could led to a more explosive offense, and eventually force teams to respect the pass and potentially open some running lane.

FSU will have a bye-week this week before they face Duke next week. This will provide Mike Norvell the opportunity to continue building the offense around the strengths of Glenn. Duke is a team that doesn't have a great offense, and their offense isn't great. FSU has never lost to Duke, and I'd believe that streak was in jeopardy if DJ Uiagalelei trotted out there as the starter. I believe FSU has a great chance to open some eyes in that game with Brock Glenn as the starting QB.
