FSU football: 3 reasons why DJ Uiagalelei should be the starting QB for the Noles
INJURIES ARE A FACTOR
As we all know, football is a contact sport and injuries happen in the sport. We have already seen injuries sustained from young signal-callers Brock Glenn and Luke Kromenhoek who they did not play in the Spring Showcase. As a result, DJ Uiagalelei and Trever Jackson played in the spring game.
If you move on from Uiagalelei, Glenn already suffered a wrist injury last year and you could see that take a toll on his development, especially in the ACC Championship Game versus Louisville and the Orange Bowl versus Georgia.
Fans want to see the former four-star prospect appear in the game after Uiagalelei struggled on the field on Monday night. Glenn cannot afford to get an injury. He could be in line to start at quarterback in the 2025 season opener versus Alabama.
Norvell cannot afford Glenn to get hurt in the last ten games of the 2024 season (hopefully the Seminoles see a bowl game as well). The offensive line has not been very reliable in protecting Uiagalelei.
