FSU Defense Still Solid

FSU's defense was playing at an elite level towards the end of the regular-season, and its a shame they didn't get to continue putting that on display in the College Football Playoffs. Frankly, I believe that's one reason the committee snubbed FSU. I believe they were afraid they'd win a game 17-13 or something. FSU hasn't allowed more than 24 points all season, including shutting down the NO. 1 offense in college football, LSU. I mentioned they'll be without several significant players on defense, but they still have a lot of production available.

Darrell Jackson becoming available after the regular-season means FSU should continue to be stout against the run. However, I expect Georgia will look to run where Jared Verse would have been. FSU will have some youth in its secondary at safety that may get exploited. If FSU can stop the run, they'll have a chance to limit Georgia from marching up and down the field. When they have played against offenses that don't feature dynamic dual-threat quarterbacks, they've performed well, aside from a couple of runs here and there.
