Early Enrollee

One of the best things a high school player can do if he wants to get on the field early in college is enroll early in the spring semester. It gives that player a chance to get used to college life, get his head in the playbook, get a ton of reps in practice, and get busy in the strength and conditioning program for months ahead of the guys who arrive in the summer. This is one of the main reasons I don't expect Elijah Moore to get on the field much, although he's likely physically ready.

McCoy enrolled this spring and made his presence felt early. He made a lot of plays, and it's not like FSU's defense is chopped liver. Even the young defensive backs have a great deal of talent, most of them with elite length and great speed. It's not like a few years ago when they were poorly coached and didn't have blue-chip players all over the place. If a freshman enrolls early and consistently gets noticed against this secondary?
