FSU football: 3 needs in 2025 recruiting class after Daylan McCutcheon commitment
By Kelvin Hunt
Final Thoughts
It's an outstanding class so far and will be one of the best classes regardless of ranking if they hold on to everyone who's committed. FSU likely has fewer than 10 realistic high school targets remaining and won't take questionable high school commits to boost their recruiting ranking like Miami and others. If FSU can't get high school players to fill the remaining spots, they'll likely use the transfer portal.
That method would allow FSU to find a player who'll likely get on the field earlier while allowing the guys they took in the 2024 recruiting class to continue developing and not putting too much pressure on them to contribute. FSU fans want to land every target but trust me when I tell you Mike Norvell and the staff have a plan for several scenarios. They've done well balancing the high school and portal recruiting, and it won't stop now after players watched the success of several transfers getting drafted from the Noles in the 2024 NFL Draft.
