3. FIND THE OFFENSIVE IDENTITY

Florida State football had the luxury of having quarterback Jordan Travis, running back Trey Benson, and wide receivers Johnny Wilson and Keon Coleman in 2023. However, all of those contributors have now gone to the NFL.

The offense was predicated on chunk plays to generate success. It was easy to throw it up to 6'4" Keon Coleman and 6'7" Johnny Wilson when times were difficult. Plus, they had running back Trey Benson to take it the distance when they needed it most.

The Seminoles welcome in quarterback transfer DJ Uiagalelei, who has had his ups and downs as a collegiate signal-caller but is a crafty veteran who has played a ton of football.

The offensive game plan was not pretty on Saturday where they were only able to muster 291 total yards. The coaching staff thought that their identity was rushing the football but after only having 26 carries for 40 yards after the first scripted drive, it could be time to evaluate other options.

I am excited to see how Norvell and his staff treat the offensive game plan after there were moments that could have been more explosive, especially in the passing game.
