FSU football: 3 major things we learned in January 2024

Top Transfer Portal Class
I recorded a video on the Built For Playmakers YouTube channel on Christmas Eve, explaining why FSU football fans needed to exercise patience with transfer portal recruiting. Oregon State quarterback DJ Uiagalelei committed to the Noles on New Year's Day, and the flood gates opened. FSU has filled nearly every major need they had via the transfer portal. They have 15 players enrolled or committed, not including DJ Lundy, withdrawing from the transfer portal to rejoin the team at the critical linebacker position. FSU's transfer portal class ranks No. 4, with 11 of 15 players ranked as blue-chip players.
However, they are not finished in the portal and will likely add a few more players after the spring semester. The overall vibe around the program has gone from FSU winning 7-8 wins to likely 10 wins at the worst. Not only does this transfer portal class help with the 2024 season, but the majority of the players have multiple years of eligibility remaining. The future is bright in Tallahassee!
