FSU football: 3 major things we learned in January 2024

FSU football entered 2024 with some uncertainty. The Noles ended December with the Orange Bowl exhibition that left everyone with a sour taste in their mouths despite understanding why a ton of FSU starters elected not to play in the game. The fan base was still bitter about the College Football Playoff snub(and always will be, especially after watching those games get played). FSU coaches hadn't added as much firepower from the portal as they had done in the previous year. There were question marks about some standout players on the roster entering the transfer portal. DJ Lundy, a guy who would have played significant snaps, had entered the transfer portal.

FSU only had two scholarship quarterbacks on the roster, and one had just arrived after signing during the Early Signing Period. FSU was still getting bashed by the media after beginning the process of filing a lawsuit and leaving the ACC. It was a lot of negativity surrounding the program. However, like the Seminole Tribe FSU represents, they overcame all that to remain Unconquered. This might be the strongest position FSU had had in nearly a decade.
