Can Brock Glenn legitimately push for starting job?

Brock Glenn arrived at FSU last spring and quickly built a reputation as a competitor and a quick learner. He made a lot of strides throughout the spring and summer and surpassed former four-star signee AJ Duffy on the depth by the time the season started. He played in the second game against Southern Mississippi and suffered a hand injury that forced him to miss a ton of practice reps during the season. He was a freshman, but that missed time was why the playbook was so limited in the ACC Championship game. However, the progression between the ACC Championship game and the Orange Bowl was eye-opening. There was a noticeable calmness and the clock in his head slowed down considerably.

It's clear he has the goods to be a starting college quarterback at a big-time school with more experience. I think he needs more time to challenge for the job, but he spends tons of time in the film room putting in work. One thing to remember is these transfer receivers didn't come to FSU to have someone with two college starts to get them the ball. Some guys progress quickly, and this spring will be a good indicator of where he is at this stage. Uiagalelei has a strong track record for durability, but all it takes is one play to get the backup in the game. If Glenn isn't the starter, having a guy who can come in without much drop-off is the next best thing.
