Can They Win Short-Yardage Situations?

This area has been an Achilles heel of the offensive line since forever. There are too many times to count where the FSU offensive line can't convert third or fourth down and short or inches because they couldn't move opposing defensive linemen off the line of scrimmage. Again, it's why they haven't rushed Early and Armella, but also why they've continued to bring in grown men from the transfer portal. It'll help they will have a quarterback who's 6'4" and 250 pounds and a running back in Roydell Williams who's built like a superhero.

Keiondre Jones proved he could move folks in the running game last year. Richie Leonard and Terrance Ferguson come from the SEC and are physically ready to play. If we're counting Early and Armella, that's at least eight guys who should be capable of contributing meaningful snaps. If they can have any modicum of success against the FSU defensive line at practice, I think they'll show improvement in this area during the season.

Overall

I think this unit has the potential to be its best version as long as it can stay healthy. There are 1-2 other young guys with a year under their belt who could emerge. Could we see Bully Ball return to Tallahassee with a powerful running game?
