LACK OF PRESSURE BY THE DEFENSIVE LINE

There were some individuals across the college football landscape such as ESPN's Pete Thamel who called the Seminoles' defensive line one of the best in the entire country. Unfortunately, Florida State did not have their best performance on Saturday.

The Seminoles had to replace the likes of Jared Verse, Braden Fiske, and Fabien Lovett Sr. who were all pivotal in last year's success. That is a ton of NFL talent that needs to be replaced.

Florida State had returning production such as Patrick Payton, Joshua Farmer, and Darrell Jackson Jr. However, they added pieces such as Marvin Jones Jr., Sione Lolohea, and Tomiwa Durojaiye via the transfer portal.

Georgia Tech quarterback Haynes King and the offense did not feel much pressure at all on Saturday as the defensive unit did not record any sacks and only had two tackles for loss (one by linebacker DJ Lundy and one by safety Shyheim Brown). It was quite disappointing that the defense did not bring much heat.
