FSU football: 3 BOLD predictions for Clemson game
By Kelvin Hunt
Brock Glenn will throw for 250+ yards
Brock Glenn will make his first start this season and the third of his career. Glenn hasn't played much but is no stranger to facing good defenses. Louisville had a top 20 defense last year, and Georgia had a top 15 defense last year. Clemson's defense ranks No. 11 through four games, though they have given up more yards and points than you'd think, considering how high they're ranked. Some of that has come in garbage time with backup players in the game.
Brock Glenn attempted 21 passes in his first career start against Louisville. He attempted 26 passes against Georgia in the Orange Bowl. His career high for passing yards is 139, but he's had a spring, summer, and fall to continue to develop and learn the offense.
I anticipate Mike Norvell will take the training wheels off to see what he's got, and likely attempt 30+ passes in this game. It'll probably be a variety of screens and simple concepts, but I can see FSU hitting a couple of big plays against the aggressive Clemson defense to get him over the mark.
