FSU football: 16 players who could be selected in 2025 NFL Draft
By Kelvin Hunt
DJ Uiagalelei
Redshirt senior quarterback DJ Uiagalelei joined the program this spring after transferring from Oregon State. The former five-star recruit and No. 1 recruit nationally has shown flashes of greatness but hasn't had a coaching staff with the ability or time to maximize how good he can become. FSU fans saw first-hand how Mike Norvell transformed Jordan Travis from a guy who had not shot to get drafted into a guy who, likely got drafted even higher than the fifth round had he not suffered a terrible injury to end his FSU career.
Uiagalelei has an exceptional arm, one that's capable of throwing the ball 65+ yards in the air. He's 6'4" and 245 pounds, with better mobility than someone may expect. The challenge for Uiagalelei is improving his accuracy and knowing when to turn his Howitzer loose and when he needs to use touch on shorter throws. He can read defenses fine and isn't a turnover machine like some quarterbacks. If Uiagalelei can get his completion percentage above 60 percent and throw for 25+ touchdowns and over 3,000 yards? Someone will take a chance and draft him.
