FSU football: 16 players who could be selected in 2025 NFL Draft
By Kelvin Hunt
Roydell Williams
Senior running back Roydell Williams arrived in Tallahassee this spring after four years at Alabama. He played in 45 games, starting two, and had 1,165 rushing yards with 11 touchdowns on 234 carries, averaging 5.0 yards per carry over his career. Williams will likely be one of the featured running backs in Mike Norvell's offense in 2024. He's a combination of Trey Benson and former FSU running back Treshaun Ward. He has the vision of Ward, but faster, and the size of Trey Benson without the top-end speed. Williams is listed at 5'10" and 215 pounds.
He has a lot of treads left on his tires since he wasn't the featured back in his time at Alabama. Mike Norvell has a track record with running backs, especially transfers. Jashaun Corbin rushed for nearly 900 yards and seven touchdowns, and Trey Benson eclipsed 900 yards in each season at FSU, with 23 rushing touchdowns. There's no question Williams will have a productive season, barring any injuries. If he can run a solid time at the NFL Combine, he'll get drafted in the 2025 NFL Draft.
