FSU football: 16 players who could be selected in 2025 NFL Draft
By Kelvin Hunt
DJ Lundy
Oh, wait, another high school player developed by the coaching staff. I'm starting to notice a trend! Redshirt senior linebacker DJ Lundy played in seven games as a freshman in the 2020 COVID season before moving into a starting role in 2021. Lundy recorded 69 tackles, five for a loss, and a sack. Tatum Bethune's arrival from the transfer portal moved him to more of a reserve role in 2022, but he still had 48 tackles, five for a loss, and 1.5 sacks. Lundy appeared in 13 games with four starts in 2023, recording 54 tackles, six for a loss, two sacks, and one interception.
Lundy lists at 6'1" and 240 pounds. He worked hard to reshape his body from when he arrived in Tallahassee. This year will be his fifth season in Adam Fuller's defense, and he'll be a full-time starter in 2024. He has the size and physicality to play in the NFL. His biggest weakness is coverage, but he's improved in that area over the past couple of years. Tatum Bethune got drafted over the weekend, and I can see Lundy following the same path.
