Roydell Williams

Trey Benson was the leading rusher for the Noles over the last two seasons and will hear his name called at the NFL Draft soon. That's a lot of production to replace, but luckily, FSU has a proven guy in Lawerance Toafili returning but also added Alabama transfer Roydell Williams. Williams is a mixture of Benson and former FSU running back Treshaun Ward. He's a big back like Benson without the elite speed but has better vision like Treshaun Ward.

The knock on Benson was he could hit the home run play to change the numbers on the scoreboard, but left a lot of yards on the field on a down-to-down basis. Benson had several big runs last year, averaging 5.81 yards per rush. Williams isn't known for the long touchdown runs and averaged 5.05 yards per rush. I'm looking to see how Williams moves in the backfield, the vision, and what happens when he makes it to the second level of the defense.
