Deion Sanders never won a national championship at Florida State, and he never won the Heisman trophy like Weinke and Ward, but he is unequivocally the greatest player in Florida State football history.
In his four years, he made 14 interceptions and returned three for touchdowns. He also returned three punts for touchdowns. He was a shutdown corner who was also the best playmaker in the entire country when he got his hands on the ball. Simply between kick and punt returns, he totaled 1,742 all-purpose yards in his career as a Seminole.
At FSU, Sanders played baseball and track and field, winning the 100-meter and 200-meter conference titles in 1988. Primetime went on to become a pro and college football hall-of-famer and played nine seasons in the MLB.
