Red Zone Offense

FSU had crazy talent on the 2023 offense, but it failed to match the offensive output from 2022. Part of it was injuries, but the offense struggled to run the ball and sustain drives. FSU saw nearly 13 percent of its drives end without positive yardage, and they only had 55 red zone trips in 2024(14 games). That was fewer than the 66 attempts FSU had in 2022(13 games). Not only does FSU need to create more red zone opportunities, but they need to capitalize more often in those situations.

FSU only scored touchdowns 60 percent of the time in the red zone last year. They did it 69.70 percent of the time in 2022. The more efficent FSU can be on offense, the better. That likely means they can rest their starters more and preserve them as the season goes. If they struggle to score and play several close games, forcing guys to play more reps, it could affect things as the season progresses.
