Thank goodness FSU baseball (40-14) has one of the top offenses nationally, as they carried the Noles to a 12-9 win over the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets (31-22). FSU jumped to a 2-0 lead in the bottom of the first inning behind a two-run home run by Marco Dinges. That was only the beginning as Drew Faurot, Daniel Cantu, and Jamie Ferrer hit home runs. Every FSU batter except Jaxson West had at least one hit. Conner Whittaker got the start and went two scoreless innings, allowing no hits and two walks. It was an adventure after that, with Georgia Tech threatening a few times, but FSU was able to escape with one run allowed until the seventh inning. That's when things got interesting, as Georgia Tech scored five runs in the top of the seventh and three runs in the top of the ninth.

The Yellow Jackets had the tying run at the plate as they made the final out. FSU had to bring in their ace pitcher, Jamie Arnold, with the bases loaded and one out to secure the win. It wasn't pretty from a pitching standpoint, but they got the job done. The Noles will not play again until Friday at 11 a.m. when they face the Virginia Cavaliers. It'll be the first time they have played this season. Jamie Arnold will likely get the start since he only threw eight pitches against Georgia Tech. FSU batters had 13 hits, three doubles, and four home runs. FSU pitchers allowed eight walks, 12 hits, and nine earned runs. The offense and starting pitching have been consistent most of the year for the Noles, but it's the bullpen that's been suspect. If the Noles wish to win the ACC Baseball Championship and a deep run in the NCAA Tournament? They will have to be better.
