FSU baseball (39-14) ended the regular season with a series win over the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets (31-21). The Noles won the first two games before losing the third game in a game delayed by the weather from Saturday night until Sunday. FSU had the lead late but couldn't close out the sweep. They'll have their chance against the Yellow Jackets on Tuesday at 3 p.m. in the ACC Baseball Championship. FSU earned the No. 5 seed, and Georgia Tech earned the No. 9 seed in Pool D. The winner will face No. 4 seed Virginia on Friday at 11 a.m. Jamie Arnold didn't have his best stuff in the series opener, but battled through 6.1 innings, allowing 11 hits, two walks, and six strikeouts. Brennan Oxford provided some excellent relief from the bullpen, going 2.2 innings, allowing two hits, two talks, and two strikeouts.

However, it was the FSU offense scoring in the third, fourth, fifth, sixth, and eighth innings to put the game away. FSU's offense feasted on Georgia Tech's pitching throughout the weekend. It'll be all hands on deck pitching-wise for both teams since they won't play again until Friday if they win. The series started a day earlier than usual due to weather concerns, but it'll still be a quick turnaround than usual for the pitchers. Arnold threw 109 pitches last week, the highest amount all season. However, FSU's bullpen wasn't stressed too much, only using five pitchers in the first two games. Georgia Tech is a good offensive team but lacks the power to do much damage. They had 32 hits against FSU, but only 10 went for extra bases, and half of those were in game three when it was a Johnny Wholestaff approach by FSU. The game will air on the ACC Network.
