Pitching Development

FSU pitching coach Micah Posey caught unnecessary flack early in the season when the bullpen struggled to close games. However, FSU fans failed to see the major improvements in guys on the team last year before Posey arrived last summer. I've heard several FSU pitchers credit Posey as the best pitching coach they've ever had, and he only had them for one season. He helped take Jamie Arnold from a solid player last season to someone in the conversation for the best pitcher in college baseball. The improvement we saw from Brennen Oxford was incredible. Joe Charles found a solid role in the bullpen and was solid for most of the season.

The numbers in parenthesis represent their numbers from 2023. The improvement to guys who were not main contributors last season is outstanding. The good news? FSU returns a ton of pieces from the 2024 pitching staff, and help from the transfer portal is already on the way.
