As we wind down our FSU baseball content for the 2024 season, I wanted to look at the season as a whole. I can't express how fun it was to cover this team after how things have gone between the 2020 shortened COVID season and last season when Link Jarrett inherited a mess of a roster. Jarrett's ability to piece the roster through the transfer portal despite the worst season in our lifetimes is a testament to how hard he and the staff worked, not to mention there were major staff transitions and new hires in the offseason.

FSU onboarded 26 new players and somehow created a team with an outstanding ability to respond to adversity and the will to play for one another. A lot of credit has to go to players like James Tibbs, Jaime Ferrer, Cam Smith, and Andrew Armstrong. Those players had been with the program during the bad times and wanted to help put FSU baseball back on the map before exiting the program after this season. They were successful and will be remembered for their contributions. Let's take a look at five major takeaways from the 2024 season.
