FSU Offense Was Tremendous

The FSU has been among the best nationally all season, but it didn't look like it in some stretches during the Tallahassee Regional. That wasn't the case against the UConn Huskies, who came into the Super Regionals as one of the best pitching staffs left in the postseason. They held a potent Oklahoma offense in check in two games in their regional, but the FSU offense exploded, scoring 34 runs (31 earned) in two games. They had 29 hits (11 home runs, one double, and one single) and 20 walks while only striking out 10 times.

FSU had all its starters reach base safely in game one, and the top of the lineup was outstanding in both games. FSU batters hitting 1-5 went 23 for 50, with nine home runs and 23 RBI. The bottom of the lineup was productive as well, with players like Jaxson West having multi-hit games. FSU was active on the bases, going 3-3 in stolen base attempts. When FSU generates hits and walks at that type of clip, it's hard to keep them off the scoreboard no matter who is on the mound.
