IS MCELROY THE NEW FSU VILLAIN?

I mentioned earlier in an article that ESPN's Paul Finebaum thought that Florida State football would regress heavily in 2024. This doesn't come as a surprise as Finebaum has been known to have some strong opinions towards the Seminoles.

Another ESPN analyst (Greg McElroy) shared his thoughts on the Seminoles. McElroy went on his "Always College Football" show and predicted which top-10 AP poll team could potentially finish the 2024 season unranked. He chose Florida State and Michigan.

The former Alabama Crimson Tide quarterback was an advocate for the Seminoles during the majority of the 2023 season. Even after quarterback Jordan Travis suffered a season-ending injury, he thought Florida State would be in the College Football Playoff if they remained undefeated.

On that dreaded Decision Sunday, the Seminoles were left out of the playoff and McElroy stated that the Seminoles do not belong in the playoff due to quarterback play and not being one of the four best teams in the country.

Besides individuals such as Kirk Herbstreit and Paul Finebaum, McElroy has slowly started to become a guy that Seminole fans do not like.
