EA Sports College Football 25 video game forecasts the Seminoles' starting OL unit
College football fans rejoice as we are one step closer to releasing the EA Sports College Football 25 video game on July 19th. If you would like to preorder the game, you can click here.
The video game series is returning for the first time since July 2013 when NCAA Football 14 was released. I can barely contain my excitement. The hype continues to build for the video game as EA Sports dropped a gameplay reveal on their social media account Friday morning.
Trust me, I had a sour taste of college football analyst Kirk Herbstreit doing the voice-over for the video game. However, I was still excited to get to see the gameplay in action.
The Seminoles were featured quite a bit in the almost 5-minute reveal. It was so awesome to see Doak Campbell Stadium featured in the game. While I know that the stadium will be under renovation this upcoming season, it is still one of the best environments in all of college football.
The trailer had a ton of great content for everyone to enjoy. One aspect that I thought was interesting was when EA Sports was showcasing a pass from DJ Uiagalelei to Kyle Morlock. They displayed a projected starting offensive line for the Seminoles.
The offensive line featured Darius Washington at left tackle, TJ Ferguson at left guard, Maurice Smith at center, Keiondre Jones at right guard, and Jeremiah Byers at right tackle. Overall, that is a fair assessment to what the offensive line could look like.
I think that former Florida interior offensive lineman transfer Richie Leonard IV could be the starter at right guard. However, Jones is an extremely piece that could compete for starting reps after transferring in from the Auburn Tigers two offseasons ago. I think offensive tackle Robert Scott Jr. could also be in play if he is healthy.
Nonetheless, I believe offensive coordinator/offensive line coach Alex Atkins has this offensive line position unit on the right track to make the Seminoles' offense a viable threat in the ACC.
