Could the Noles be able to flip UF 4-star DL commit Jalen Wiggins?
Florida State football's 2025 recruiting class is sitting around the top 50 range at this moment in time. However, that should not discourage the fan base as the Seminoles are preparing to have a phenomenal recruiting class.
Florida State is looking to host several highly-touted prospects this summer. They are setting the stage in their massive June 21st weekend as over 20+ recruits will be making their way to Tallahassee.
Some of the fan base is criticizing the recruiting efforts of the program considering that they have not secured a commitment since January when four-star defensive end Javion Hilson flipped his pledge from Alabama to Florida State.
It seems like individuals freak out about Florida State's recruiting efforts every summer and then the Seminoles start to pick it up. At this point, the program only has four commitments.
It is important to remember that we are still six months away from the Early Signing Period in December plus the Seminoles are looking to accomplish major goals during the 2024 season with the newly-constructed roster.
I want to focus on one prospect that I believe Seminole fans should be monitoring is four-star defensive lineman Jalen Wiggins from James Rickards High School in Tallahassee, Florida. Most of the fan base has heard of his name by now.
Wiggins is currently committed to the arch-rival Florida Gators and the coaching staff is trying to flip his services. He will be officially visiting Florida State on the weekend of June 21st when several prospects are coming to town.
Wiggins would be a massive acquisition for the program as some individuals feel like Florida State does not recruit the Tallahassee area well. However, this could be a huge change of perspective with the Seminoles as head football coach Mike Norvell and company looks to make this the best recruiting class since he arrived in Tallahassee.
