Verse went to the 2024 NFL Scouting Combine with an ultimate goal in mind: To be the best overall prospect. Many of the mock drafts suggest that the defensive end standout would be a first-round prospect.

According to NFL.com's Bucky Brooks's mock draft, he has Verse slated to be selected 11th overall by the Minnesota Vikings. Here are his combine numbers:

40-yard dash: 4.59

10-yard split: 1.60

Vertical jump: 35"

Three-cone drill: 7.31

Broad jump: 10'7"

Overall, it was what individuals expected from a player of Verse's caliber. Florida State yet again struck gold in the transfer portal when it comes to the defensive end position. This could be the opportunity that the former Albany transfer needed to make his dream a reality by making life-changing money by being a potential top-ten draft pick.

In the early portion of the 2023 season, fans were questioning if Verse was going to return to his former self given that he had a slow start statistically. The pass rusher faced numerous double teams and even triple teams at times. However, as the season progressed, he began to get adjusted.
