Can FSU football have a top-30 offense in the country for the 2024 season?
WIDE RECEIVERS HAVE SPEED
Florida State added Alabama's Malik Benson and LSU's Jalen Brown via the transfer portal this offseason. Both Benson and Brown have displayed their above-average level of speed.
This doesn't even include running backs Jaylin Lucas and Lawrance Toafili on the roster as pass catchers. While I know that a lot of fans want the Seminoles to showcase the strong arm of Uiagalelei, I think that he will use a low-risk-high-reward throw to generate first downs to keep the drive going.
I believe that the Georgia Tech season opener could be a ton of plays that focus on getting playmakers to get the football at the line of scrimmage and watching them go to work. This is especially true considering that the offense will likely have to knock some rust off of them.
Even though many individuals feel like a top-30 offense requires non-stop deep throws downfield, it could be just as effective to let your athletes make defenders miss in space. Some think that the Seminoles' wide receiver unit will be a bottom dweller in the ACC. However, I think these wide receivers have something to prove.
