Florida State has already secured a commitment from a five-star interior offensive lineman Solomon Thomas from Raines High School in Jacksonville, Florida.

The Seminoles have been thriving under the guidance of offensive coordinator/offensive line coach Alex Atkins. Unfortunately, the NCAA gave Atkins a three-game suspension at the start of the 2024 season for recruiting violations.

Atkins has consistently made Florida State a destination for offensive linemen as he has changed the narrative for the position group. He certainly relates well to the recruits. He had a tremendous haul in the 2024 cycle with four-star Jonathan Daniels, four-star Manasse Itete, three-star Tye Hylton, and three-star Jayden Todd.

Just because the Seminoles acquired Thomas in this cycle, it does not mean that they are finished at the position. Florida State will likely need two or three pieces on the recruiting trail to solidify formidable depth.

The Seminoles will be losing current players such as Maurice Smith, Robert Scott Jr., Darius Washington, Jeremiah Byers, Richie Leonard IV, and Keiondre Jones after the 2024 season.

This will mean that the coaching staff has to connect with securing its top targets at the position. One prospect that comes to mind is four-star offensive tackle Ziyare Addison from Sumner High School in Riverview, Florida.

He attended Florida State's Legacy Day event this weekend in Tallahassee. Addison has made the trip to campus on several occasions now and he has even alluded to the fact that Florida State is one of his top schools. The talented offensive lineman even raved about the fact that the Seminoles were his first-ever offer even when he was only 240 pounds.

Florida State fans are waiting for some good news as the Seminoles have not secured a commitment since January when the coaching staff was able to flip the commitment of four-star defensive end Javion Hilson from Alabama to Florida State.

On Monday afternoon, Warchant's Matt LaSerre decided to put in an expert prediction in favor of the Seminoles for Addison. If Florida State were able to find a way to land the offensive lineman, it would go a long way in solidifying the future depth in the position group for years to come.
