4-star DB commit Greg "Zae" Thomas puts recruiting hat on for two targets
FOUR-STAR RB BYRON LOUIS
Florida State football has not secured a running back prospect in the 2025 recruiting cycle. As we know, running backs coach David Johnson has always prioritized talented prospects for his position room.
Coach Johnson got two running back recruits in the 2024 cycle with four-star Kameron Davis and four-star Micahi Danzy. However, it is reasonable to mention that this will be Roydell Williams, Caziah Holmes, and Lawrance Toafili's final season in Tallahassee for 2024.
As a result, there is a method to Zae Thomas' madness as he suggested that the Seminoles needed to add his high school teammate, four-star running back Byron Louis. Louis has a huge connection with defensive backs coach Patrick Surtain Sr., the former head football coach at American Heritage High School.
Louis officially visited Tallahassee on the massive weekend of June 21st. He was once favored to commit to the Ohio State Buckeyes. However, the running back decided to wait on pledging to a school and now Florida State is in the driver's seat.
While Louis does not have a definite commitment date on tap, I could see it being sooner rather than later.
