WR MALIK BENSON

Florida State wide receiver coach Ron Dugans has a difficult task of replacing the likes of big-bodied playmakers such as Keon Coleman and Johnny Wilson. It seems like the Seminoles relied upon the services of Coleman and Wilson as they were the number one and two receiving options.

The Seminoles acquired two options via the transfer portal in Malik Benson (Alabama) and Jalen Brown (LSU). Both of them should be viable playmakers for the offense.

I have high hopes in Brown where I think he can be a difference maker when utilizing his speed. While I think Benson has the potential to be the number-one option in the Seminoles' offense. I get that some fans might be skeptical of reserving the number one label on Benson given that he only had 162 yards and one touchdown last season.

However, he was not allowed to succeed with the Crimson Tide where they used him primarily on slants and screens. I think that head football coach Mike Norvell will have him over the field. Thankfully, Benson is expected to be back in time for the fall after sustaining an injury during the spring showcase.
