CONSISTENT RUNNING GAME

Florida State does not have the services of ultra-talented running back Trey Benson anymore as he has navigated over to the NFL. The former Oregon transfer recorded 1,800+ rushing yards and 23 touchdowns during his two seasons in Tallahassee.

With that being said, the coaching staff did have a plan in place to replicate his production by adding Alabama's Roydell Williams and Indiana's Jaylin Lucas via the transfer portal.

Running backs coach David Johnson looks to utilize all of the talented backs on the roster such as Williams and Lucas as well as players such as Lawrance Toafili, Caziah Holmes, Samuel Singleton Jr., Kameron Davis, and Micahi Danzy.

The plan is for Florida State to run the football effectively this season. This will allow DJ Uiagalelei to throw the football down the field if the running game gets established. I think the Seminoles will slow down the game and run the football as Georgia Tech's defense ranked 128th in the FBS in rushing yards allowed (221.3).
