FLORIDA STATE HAS A WIN UNDER THEIR BELT

Head football coach Mike Norvell was certainly not thrilled in the post-game press conference with how things transpired last Saturday versus California. However, he realizes that this squad did something that it hadn't done all season: Win.

These isn't such a thing as a bad win in college football. Survive and advance is the name of the game. If I could highlight all of the negatives from Saturday's contest, we would be here all night. That isn't the point.

This is what individuals miss to see. Florida State had not won a football game since it defeated the Louisville Cardinals in the ACC Championship Game in December 2023. The program has waited nine months just to know what a win felt like.

Norvell stated that the team probably needed to go through the grueling moments of the California game and see what it took to work for everything they had just to come away with the victory. Nonetheless, they have their win and now they can try to replicate its success against SMU.
