2. WIDE RECEIVERS STEPPING UP

The fan base knew that it might be a bit of an adjustment to have to replace the likes of Keon Coleman and Johnny Wilson who had been selected by the Buffalo Bills and Philadephia Eagles, respectively.

Coleman and Wilson were two of the top pass catchers for the Seminoles during the 2023 season. Travis, when he was healthy, thought both individuals could be safety blankets in the offense. When the Florida State offense needed yardage, it was a safe bet that the Seminoles could throw it to one of them in their time of need.

However, during the 2024 season, the program does not have them on the team anymore. Florida State added two transfers via the transfer portal in Alabama's Malik Benson and LSU's Jalen Brown.

Benson recorded 162 yards and one touchdown with the Crimson Tide and Brown did not record any statistics last season with the Tigers. That does not sound promising. However, I believe both of them will have to be a factor this season. I thought that Benson had a serious chance to be a number-one receiving option with his combination of speed and versatility.

With Benson being hurt in the Spring Showcase, it started to make the Seminole fan base worry about the depth of the room. It stings that talented pass catcher Destyn Hill will miss the entire 2024 season with an injury.

However, I believe that veterans such as JaKhi Douglas, Kentron Poitier, Darion Williamson, and Deuce Spann will have to step up. Plus, the younger option Hykeem Williams will have to blossom.
