DB EARL LITTLE JR.

Defensive coordinator Tony White made headlines this offseason, by referring to defensive back Earl Little Jr. as "Him". The former Alabama transfer has made his home in Tallahassee with the ROVER safety position and has become one of the leader of the Florida State defense.

Earl Little Jr. is the Seminoles' leader in tackles (52) and has a team-high four interceptions. To makes matter even more interesting, Florida State as a team last year only forced four interceptions. This is certainly a bright spot for the defense.

His aggression and physicality was on display against his former team Alabama, where they felt him. However, ever since that point, he has been inconsistent and has failed to wrap up with tackles. This needed a hard reset where Little Jr. just had to focus on playing the game of football.

He rebounded nicely in the contest against Wake Forest, where he recorded seven tackles and an interception that he returned for 35 yards. After the interception was over, he went over to the sidelines and handed the football to head football coach Mike Norvell. It was a touching moment for a football team that had been through so much.

This interception happened late in the third quarter, when the Seminoles were up by a score of 28-0. However, Earl Little Jr. hasn't stopped giving his all and that will be beneficial down the stretch for Florida State's defense.
