DE JALEN ANDERSON

Defensive coordinator Tony White's multiple 3-3-5 defensive scheme is something that the Florida State defenders were getting used to. There were numerous times when the Seminoles looked slow to react and out of position.

The last time it saw the defense perform, they were allowing Florida running back Jadan Baugh to have 266 rushing yards (Information provided by ESPN Stats and Information). This was a disappointing showing, especially for a squad that was fighting for bowl eligibility.

Nonetheless, the defensive line had moments where it flashed, but there needed to be more pressure applied with blitzes. The Seminoles did not have too many sacks this season, and the totals were carried by true freshman defensive tackle Mandrell Desir.

Another pickup that Norvell mentioned could have a good campaign is JUCO defensive end Jalen Anderson. The pass rusher already has the frame at 6'3" and 241 pounds, but the Seminoles need something to go their way with defensive ends in this scheme.
